Ive always known that the genocide was a horrible event which took place but I never met anyone who was personally affected by this event until I got here. 2day we went to a memorial which was one of the hardest things that Ive done in my entire life. There were many facts which spoke about the genocide but there were also personal statements from some of the survivors. There were slide shows of pictures of people and the wombs they received during the genocide.
